The 8th country to win the World Cup.

Sepanyol juara Piala Dunia. Semua sudah tahu tentang victory ini...kan.
Aku cuma menonton 30 minit pertama sahaja perlawanan pagi tadi. Memang aku tengok mereka sama kuat gitu. Namanya pun Piala Dunia. Semestinya mereka terbaik antara yang terbaik. Yang aku perasaan memang hubby masuk bilik dalam jam 5 am kot, sebab Haifa menangis hendak susu. So aku budget, jam 5 baru habis game. Pehh...

This award is votes awarded by media which covering the World Cup.
Golden Ball - Diego Forlan - 23.4%
Wesley Sneijder - Holland - 21.8 percent
David Villa, - Spain - 16.9 percent.

Golden Boot awarded to 20-year-old Bayern Munich dengan 5 gol sama seperti Forlan, Sneijder and Villa.
Golden Boot was selected from tournament's outstanding young player by FIFA's Technical Study

Jangka hayat kehidupan sotong kurita biasanya bertahan selewat-lewatnya selama tiga tahun.
Goshh

There are three of them now - Paul the octopus, Mani and Meena the parakeet.

Oracle Paul the master

Mani the 13-year-old parakeet , Singapore's -forecasting parakeet

Meena Kutti an 8-year-old green parakeet is Malaysia's

Paul and Meena Kutti choose the Spanish team to win the 2010 World Cup. Meanwhile Mani predict the Netherlands victory in Sunday's World Cup final.

Me..I'm choose Netherlands.
But I don't decide yet to watch or not the match this morning.

Watch how fast Paul catched the Spanish flag when they lowered it into the aquarium tank. Amazing...

Paul the Octopus (sekadar ramalan)

Oktopus-Orakel Paul mit Schuh.JPG

Paul was born in 2006 at Weymouth sea life park in Dorset, England. Species - Octopus Vulgaris. The name Paul is taken from the title of a poem by Boy Lornsen, Der Tintenfisch Paul Oktopus.
According to statements from Sea Life's entertainment director, Daniel Fey, Paul showed his intelligence early on: "There was something about the way he looked at our visitors when they came close to the tank. It was so unusual, so we tried to find out what his special talents were." The first time Paul was tried out for predicting soccer match outcomes was during UEFA Euro 2008. Paul was correct in 80% of the predictions he made, but he was wrong in his prediction of the winner of the final match, which was Germany versus Spain. Paul predicted Germany would win, but Spain was the eventual winner.

Paul the Octopus lives in the Sea Life public aquarium in Oberhausen, Germany. Paul, who is sometimes called a "psychic" octopus" or " oracle octopus," is famous for his alleged ability to correctly predict the winner of soccer matches in which the German national football team is playing: so far his behavior has managed to predict the winner 11 out of 12 times.

Method

Plastic boxes with the flags
Paul is able to make his "predictions" courtesy of Oliver Walenciak and his staff Two clear plastic boxes containing food (usually mussels or oysters) are lowered into the aquarium tank. The boxes have the flags of two countries attached to them, one for Germany, and one for Germany's next opponent. The container selected by the hungry octopus is assumed to be the predicted winner.

Congrats to Oranjes and Spanish teams

Congrats to Spanish national team for their winning matched this morning. The hero of the match is Carles Puyol and the shaggy-haired defender, 32, is the captain of FC Barcelona, the famous club that has won four La Liga titles, two European championships and the World Club Cup under his stewardship.
In the 73rd minute and in the second half of Wednesday night's gripping World Cup semifinal between Spain and Germany at the seaside Moses Mabhida Stadium, Puyol delivered Spain to soccer's promised land with the confidence and timing of a player who knows how to win.
Spain will play for the World Cup title for the very first time. The game was a repeat, down to the final score, of the 2008 European Championship final when Spain beat Germany to win its first major title in 44 years.

In other hand, I'm still with Argentina in my heart...hehehehe. But for the final match this becoming Sunday at Soccer City, I with Netherlands. Hubby already pick his team which is Spain.
So it's going to be 'cold loving loving fight' for us that time....hahahaha.

The World Cup Final: a game of firsts

Soccer City Stadium

The 2010 World Cup Final will be a groundbreaking game in more ways than one. What's that? You want to know exactly how many ways it will be groundbreaking? You got it — here's why Sunday's match at Soccer City, above, will see a number of firsts...

1. This year's final will be the first time a team from Europe wins the tournament outside of Europe. Only Brazil and Argentina have won away from their home continent.

2. This is the first final that will not feature one of Argentina, Brazil, Germany or Italy.

3. It will be Spain's first time in the final. Their best performance so far is fourth place in the 1950 edition, and this tournament is the first since then that they have even reached the semifinals.

4. This could be the Netherlands' first World Cup victory, if they overcome David Villa et al. They've been losing finalists twice.

5. If you followed the two previous points closely enough, you will see that World Cup 2010 will definitely see a first-time winner.

6. Additionally, it's also the first time the Netherlands will not face the host nation in the final. In 1974 they lost 2-1 to West Germany in Munich, and in 1978 they succumbed to Argentina 3-1 in Buenos Aires.

7. The game will also be the first time either manager has won anything on the international stage. Bert van Marwijk has won the UEFA Cup and the Dutch version of the FA Cup with Feyenoord, and Vicente del Bosque won the Champions League, La Liga, the Supercopa de Espana, the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup with Real Madrid.

8. It's the first time a psychic octopus has shaped the outcome of the final. If Germany had managed to prevail over the Spanish, this would also have been the first time a mollusk would have had the chance to reveal the outcome of a final before it took place.

9. The final will be the first game in this tournament that Fernando Torres maybe thinks about possibly scoring a goal. If he plays, that is.
10. And finally, the final will give you your first chance to talk about something other then LeBron this week.

don't cry for me Argentina

Kecewa gitu

Aku mogok semalam..hehehe..Bukan apa. sedih pasal Argentine kalah..so tiada post untuk semalam. hehehehe.
Team Argentina macam hilang fokus...hilang arah...kelam kabut.
Aku tumpang sedih melihat Diego Maradona.
Sila joins lihat pictures taken di tv sahaja.
Kegembiraan Germany sungguh terserlah.

Octopus Paul ‘picks’ Germany to beat Argentina

Octopus omen: Two-year-old octopus Paul predicting Germany’s victory in their quarter-final match against Argentina by choosing a mussel from a glass box with the German flag instead of a glass box with the Argentinian flag at the Sea Life Aquarium in Oberhausen. — Reuters

BERLIN: Octopus oracle Paul yesterday hesitated but ultimately picked Germany to win – again – this time over Argentina in their quarter-final clash at the football World Cup.
Paul, who rose to global fame after correctly predicting all four of Germany’s games in this year’s tournament, indicated that Saturday’s game will be a tough battle and that it may even end in a penalty shootout.

While English-born Paul made a snappy decision to pick Germany over his native country, this time it took the octopus about an hour to approach a water glass containing a mussel marked with a German flag, said Tanja Munzig, a spokeswoman for Sea Life Aquarium in the western city of Oberhausen.
Paul ignored a similar glass with Argentina’s flag, but he also did not reach inside the German glass with his tentacles to grab the seafood goodie.

“Paul kept staring at the German glass and only when we wanted to take out both glasses, he finally jumped inside the German one and gulped down the mussel,” Munzig said.
“All of his behaviour indicates that Saturday’s game will be very tough and it may even go into extra time and penalty shootout – but in the end Germany will win.”

Two-year-old Paul has proven to be a reliable oracle in the past – in addition to predicting Germany’s win over England, he also foretold the victories over Australia and Ghana and the country’s loss to Serbia.

During the 2008 European Championship, he predicted 80% of all German games right, Munzig said.
Despite being a naturalised German, Munzig said, Paul is not a biased octopus and “he may even have some relatives in Argentina, who emigrated there many generations ago”. — AP

ARGENTINA berpesta gol...

Argentina menang  4-1 dalam perlawanan Kumpulan B keatas Korea Selatan yang baru tamat sebentar tadi.

Tapi cuba baca ulasan di Utusan hari ini mengenai CITA-CITA BESAR Korea Selatan...aduhaiiii. Terlalu bercakap besar gitu.
Macam-macam gitu...

Korea Selatan mampu sekat Argentina - Park Ji-Sung
